They can drop nice pieces, but they're usually not of the type of depth and complexity that makes a top tier writers verse as good as it is. People just see a recognized battlers name and give props. I've read archives of top battlers and their strength is swag pieces or disses. I think the running idea on this site that battlers transition to open mics easier than vice versa is just a fallacy with a lot of confirmation bias.

as for story telling and etc i would rank a good amount of battlers in top ten, as well as flex verses which i think topical heads cant do very well imo
