Lol I thought I was the only idiot who did this.

I also went through a phase where I would dissect words I heard into other words. Mostly completely useless word plays. I forced lines out of some of them though.

Italian chopped tomatoes w/ basil n oregano is a wonderful rhyme in my accent as well. This is another case of Americans' retarded pronunciation ruining everything.

Tomatoes is Tom-AHH-toes, not tuh-MAY-toes
Basil has a short a sound. kinda rhymes with Castle. It's not BAYS-ill.
Oregano is ore-a-GAH-no. Not uh-REG-in-oh
