I could give a shit how talented movie critics proclaim Bobcat Goldthwait to be. Yeah. He's an ok director. I get it. I liked him better as an actor. But this handcam/found footage movie is being pegged as the best horror movie of 2014, not to mention of the entire found footage genre. I've even seen reviews where it's heralded as breathing new life into the genre..bullshit.

SPOILER ALERT and Synopsis

A couple goes to Willow Creek to find Bigfoot for the boyfriends vlog documentary. They camp out in the woods. They start hearing Sasquatch-esque noises while in the tent at night (tree knocking/vocalizations/activity outside of the tent/contact with the tent).They are frightened. The chick cries and screams. They leave at dawn. Little did they know they would miraculously have no idea where they are or how they got there and subsequently trek aimlessly through the woods until dark. All the while there is more noises occurring around them. It is now night and they are not only lost but have no supplies as they left them behind when being pursued by what your led to believe is a Sasquatch. The chick is armed with a dead tree branch and she is poking it at the air. They walk around and then the shocking ending...some grotesquely obese naked woman growls and attacks them. They drop the camera. The end.

No Sasquatch. Just a fat bitch with no clothes on.

Can somebody who has seen this explain it to me? Bc by all accounts this is the worst found footage film I've ever seen and it appears that Bobcat Goldthwait is paying for positive reviews.
