Week 8 Championship Match: Neighbor (6-0) vs. Answer (4-0) - ANS WINS

This is tough.

I don’t mean to be disrespectful at all, because I guess it’s a style issue, but in various places, I thought both verses had lines that were waaay too long. You can’t drop back to back 20+ syllable lines and have any kind of fluency to them... Even in text, there’s no way those flow at all. If you go with a super long line, it needs to be preceded and succeeded by a short line.

That said, both guys had some very cool concepts... and generally stayed away from the weird and awkward wordplay that I’ve seen in various other battles on here In the last couple days. I think Answer had the nod slightly in terms of originality/wittiness. But, both had some really nice lines/ideas. This was one of the better battles I’ve seen on here so far. So, cheers to that. But, Answer won, IMO.
