Yeah you have drop boxes/deposit boxes in the US.

For example when they collect the cash from a ATM and the guys who collect them have gear that make them look like they from bloody star wars

You also have them in banks, loads of them.

Post offices

A lot of games machines have them for collection now a days.

the security measure is a small explosive dye pack that covers the contents in a permanent red dye preventing use of the goods and making them traceable.

I think the dye pack was actually a US invention...but could be wrong
