In the Winter Topical tourney, I sent all of my opponents a list of their positives/negatives in writing (to me) and told them how I intended to exploit that during my verse to win. I use the same style, but the approach and execution differs from opponent to opponent depending on who I'm facing, knowing your opponent and how they're likely to play their game works well for me. I can surprise them by coming with something left field to capitalise.

There's more to this than writing a story to win.

This thread was a good read. I definitely still have ways to improve, but I have reached semi-finals to finals in most of the leagues and tournaments I have competed in. Particularly AWOL 4-6, I wasn't around before then. But not bad, considering I'm fairly new to this. Hope this still exists ten years from now. Fingers crossed.
