I know this isn't the consensus form of tunes but one of the first I remember hearing and the one that sums it up the best prob for a good bit of America is Allan Jackson's " where were you ( when the world stopped turning ) "

It came out when this was more then a sore subject .. hell it was like a month after it happened ... I'm not a big country fan even though I dabble a bit but this is an amazing track most americans with a sympathetic bone in their body can relate to

Any others yall like ???

That Alan Jackson song definitely left an impact on me, and I am not even American.

Even to this day I listen to it and I get shivers...just a really impressive song.

He does but it goes to political ... I think the essence of everyone's feeling on that day is what allan Jackson captured ... very rare for an artist to do that

A lot of heads made good post 9/11 tracks ... empire state of mind ... lupe had one .. too many to name but the aftermath is what they caught not the feeling of the events unfolding
