few days old but what's your favorite 9/11 esque memorial song ...
I know this isn't the consensus form of tunes but one of the first I remember hearing and the one that sums it up the best prob for a good bit of America is Allan Jackson's " where were you ( when the world stopped turning ) "
It came out when this was more then a sore subject .. hell it was like a month after it happened ... I'm not a big country fan even though I dabble a bit but this is an amazing track most americans with a sympathetic bone in their body can relate to Any others yall like ??? |
That Alan Jackson song definitely left an impact on me, and I am not even American.
Even to this day I listen to it and I get shivers...just a really impressive song. |
Sorry @Witty didn't mean to leave our foriegn allies out lf this convo
I know quite a few non American born artists have touched on the subject as well... most notably probably Paul McCartney |
Ummortal technique: bin laden
He kills it. |

A lot of heads made good post 9/11 tracks ... empire state of mind ... lupe had one .. too many to name but the aftermath is what they caught not the feeling of the events unfolding |
