So I'm cool with a few local authors who are affiliated with some small time magazines. Let them hear my tape and a few older tracks and basically they were twisting my arm about doing some YouTube interviews or just audibly for an article or some shit. I told them I'm pretty reclusive when it comes to these things and don't like people knowing much about me personally.
Looking for a general consensus in regard to what the purpose of artists agreeing to interviews may be. Is it solely for promotional purposes or to give fans a chance to get to know the artist they're to listening better or both? I personally find these people(interviewers, radio personalities, etc) annoying and disrespectful at times. Give me some insight yo.
