Due Dates:

• Verses are due THURSDAY,
  July 17th 2014 11:59 PM PST.
• Check Ins are due WEDNESDAY, July 11th 2014
• Voting ends Friday July 16th 2014 11:59 PM PST.
• Battles that lack votes may close later.
• One sided battles may get closed early.
• Extensions are 24 hours
• You will be GRANTED ONE EXTENSION throughout the Tourney. Any extension beyond the first will result in loss of votes.

Line Limit:

• Min. = 10 lines
• Max. = 16 lines
• Limit MUST be agreed upon

General Rules:

• 1st person to post can't edit after the 2nd person posts.
• 2nd person to post can't edit after a vote has been made.
• Feeding = DQ.
• Recycling = DQ.
• Biting = DQ.
• No freeposting, swaying or bitching.
• Unless a picture battle is agreed upon,
  linking to your opponent's picture or posting it
  means you will be disqualified.
• A check in IS mandatory.
• Competitors should agree on a line limit in their check in.
• If no line limit is agreed on, then the 2nd person to post

Oh gosh, thought this would happen. This is probably the only battle I was looking forward too, thanks for both participants, especially chyeah for hyping it up a bit. Let me start with him.

My favorite line from chyeah was

"I mount horror scopes on the toast that don't jam but it's sign is the Taurus"

Though the horror scopes couldve been used better, it wasn't. It was by far the best line he wrote. A lot of other elements were cool, and he used a traditional style and I thought he fit a lot into his lines that most other writers couldnt have. A few hit and misses. The Grandfather clock was a bit much and seemed stretched. Other than that everything else was better than I thought It'd be.

Neighbor, nice. I read the first four lines and thought you couldn't keep the pace up, but that proved wrong. You delivered line after line, with short fuse of words that was very akin to the neighbor I'm used too.

The wordage in that is just vintage you, and is what many people seek for but can't achieve. Just really wound up wording and it was supremely executed. Chyeah went for a more complex route with the different tangential metaphors, but that didn't really hold up to the sharp scope snippets of neighbor. I think Neighbor showed why he's a real threat with a easy snap of the neck.

two different crazy styles here. chyeea had more gritty swag. i thought neighbors flow was fire. ehh, liked both verses but iono, neighbors just seemed to edge it out with an overall smoother read. smh dope battle tho

Chyeahhhh Guevara: Your wordplay brought down a technically fine verse. Almost all of it was garbage and forced and awkward and unnecessary. It cut into the swagger of the verse, though the flow was fine.

Chyeahhh showed flashes of dope lines but kinda failed at the same time here, felt kinda rushed with good concepts I feel especially that Taurus line. Neighbor arkham asylum bar was dope, schemes were nice from both. Good battle, nice read.

Cool match up here. I was expecting Chyeah to really bring the heat as he was hyping this up in the Disc. forum. Reading your verse, I can definitely see you brought some energy but you lacked a lot of content in comparison to Neighbor. You started picking up steam around the middle of your verse going to the end. The last lines I wasn't feeling much though. Neighbor, if this is just a hint of what we will see in this tournament, then you will be a force. Best swag n flow of the first round. Flow was superb and the content kept coming from start to finish. Extremely consistent.
