Polarized all day. Makes a huge difference. I used to have some nice quiksilver ones, lost them, used shitty old ones for a while, and my gf just got me a pair of Toms sunglasses (same brand that makes those chick shoes), and they're awesome. Either way, get polarized shades.

Reduce glare and UV rays. Meaning you don't see the light bouncing off the water, you see the water. Better for your eyes. It doesn't affect how the glasses look, just the way the lenses are constructed. Best sunglasses you'll ever have.

I agree. I've owned a few pair of polarized and I seem to lose them ALL. Everytime I travel I leave them somewhere. Plus they run $100+ that gets pricey after a while

I seem to lose all my sunglasses no matter what, just a curse. The last two pairs been sticking around though, I'm hoping they last at least a year or so before I do something stupid and lose them.
