"Sugar Cubes"- Poem

[Headless Verseman]

Small squares, receptive

to isolated droplets which

crash like atomic bombs

on their crystalline surface.

Sweet diamonds whose purpose

is to engage the mind

through amethyst eyes,

saliva erodes their structure

into free verse, allowed to

flow into a syrupy deluge.

Forcing the mind through an

ebon nightmare-

as the senses collide in pluvial spirit-

and is lapped up by a helpless awareness

that you are on a timeless trip

as you hold tight to anchored aspirations.
