I remember when mahfks used to go crazy for radiohead albums like it was the most avant garde shit ever and they'd rave and shit but the album sounded like a baby puking on a laptop. That's basically what Kanye is now.

808s is easily his worst imo, and I don't count Watch the Throne as a Kanye West album. I liked Yeezus, but wasn't as keen on it as everyone else seems to be.

Moving My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy above College Dropout is a recent development for me.

It's a good album. Possibly Great. I'll definitely give it a few more listens.

I mean, there are moments where I'm like "This song would be incredible if Kanye wasn't on it." because the features are all dope, and kanye spits some cornball shit on here (the taylor swift line, the ray j line, and especially the bleached asshole lines in Stretch My Hands pt. 1)

And I got really mad at the "ft. Andre 3000" on the finished version of 30 Hours, cause dre just adlibs the words "30 hours" for two minutes. No verse. Very disappointing, cause that beat is dope.

But it's good. I'd probably say 4th-5th.

Graduation is tough for me. I think it has the most not-good songs on it of all his albums, but it also has a handful of his best songs as well. I may need to give it and Yeezus another listen through, just looking at the tracklists again I feel like I may be underrating Yeezus too much.

808s though, idk. It wasn't bad, but I feel like it was a less-realized version of what Cudi's first album was. I'm stoked for TLOP though.

The bad tracks are the biggest reason for my distaste for Graduation, but I simply find a lot of it boring, too. "Flashing Lights" and "I Wonder" and "Everything I Am" are obviously important to the direction he was heading toward, but he still was so focused on making sure to rap every time that he hadn't tapped his full potential on those kinds of songs.

On the other hand, "Can't Tell Me Nothing" and "Homecoming" are elite Kanye West songs.

I think a lot of why I hold Graduation in such esteem is because of what it meant to me when it came out, and what I associate those songs with. Can't Tell Me Nothin is still one of my favorite Kanye songs ever. And even though everyone hated Drunk and Hot Girls, that was my shit haha. But yeah, my best friend who died a few years back and I used to bump that album all day every day when it came out. So when I hear it, it just takes me back to those good memories. Its tough to put MBDTF, yeezus or 808s above that.

Like with "compton" i just gave this a 15 minute listen. And like with compton, its all it deserves. 30 hours is the best track. Everything else is basically weirdo kanye ranging from him following the production trends of the mainstream, and diversions into nonsensical mubling sing songiness. The shit with rihanna and swizz beatz, famous, couldve been stupid dope but like tracks off compton it cbanged too much, the hook with rihanna was too different and changed the mood from banger to slow weird shit and then it completely changed toward the end.

The one track facts i think it was, started with a fathers children sample that is one of my favorites. But he doesnt even use it. He honey dicked mw and then went off trying to be an atlanta artist over some bullshit.

Long story short if you havent listened yet, this is more of the same from kanye in his yeezus/dark twisted etc vibe. Overproduced electronic garbage with a couple good verses and alot of weirdo shit
