Haha, I think YOU’RE the one should be giving me advice fam! All I can say is, it’s a long season, it’ll tire you down. Don’t take yourself or the league too seriously, there will be no shows, there will be DQs etc. Just don’t think too much about it, all you can do is your part and the pieces will fall in place. Excited to see what you do with it man.

Season 10 was a whirlwind! What were some of the highs and the lows for you?

“Whirlwind” is the perfect word to describe it. It was definite the most successful league I’ve ran (which isn’t saying a whole lot) but had its share of hardships, namely in the playoffs, the NS in the championship match still nauseates me. The peak was probably towards the middle of the season when NYC, yourself, @Dominate and @Eviction were all competing for the crown.

What battle defined the Season?

If we’re talking the greatest battles of the season, we’re talking either Frank vs @Soule vs @dead man, or @Universe vs @NYCSPITZ. Those were amazing battles and may have went down the same week? But if we’re talking about “defining” the league for what it ultimately was, I would go with either the @Eviction upset over NYC because it was chaotic and shouldn’t have happened like the last part of the season (lol)

What Textcee are you amped up to see return to the league in the Topical Draft?

Man I’m hoping your idea works. I’d love to see somebody like @Certain or @RichardCorey battle as I’ve never seen them in action. A drop in from a few surprise hall of fame names would be very cool...

We got Master Rock on the line. Master Rock, Can you describe for the AOWL: What Master Rocks Off Season entails? How are you preparing for Season XI?

In my spare time I am constantly writing, sometimes as a break on jump on discord for freestyle battling and just vibing. Also I like to engage in hip hop rap competitions online (audio based). I usually don't have a subject when I start writing for the recordings it's more like freestyle based but if the beat takes me to a place where I start seeing and hearing the situation that's when I based off that subject matter. Sometimes there's no certain structure to it but when things are happening to my life I write about what actually is going on in my life in my rhymes. but I never want it to be to apparent because my privacy means something to me. That's is usually how I spend my Friday and Saturday nights and when I need a break I start producing beats in playing with samples and my mpk. As time goes on I realize I am more of a musician than a emcee, I'm beginning to record in a sonic manner that encapsulates the actual sound where the vocals and the beat can become one as part of the music. Fun fact: on my lunch breaks I'm usually delving into audio engineering. I hope to have my first full album out by late next year.

What Board did you frequent before Netcees?

B-boys was my home for a long time. I went under the name erek/ereck not to be confused with another kat on project rhyme known as e-rek.

What is your creative process like once you get your topic?

I study the subject and attempt to delve fully into understanding the topic. I also search for a beat that matches the mood for my writing and play it on a loop while I create. I usually get into a mind state of the character and express my thoughts as the character.

Scar, You're a relative new comer to The AOWL. Could you tell me how your experience in The GWL (Gorilla League) has prepared you for Netcees Premier League, The AOWL?

It really hasn’t. I mean I guess during the gwl, I started to catch on to what people like but aowl is a whole different animal, imo. By that I mean as a legacy league expectations are higher. I remember gwl was super fun in the beginning so that helped me alot in being enthusiastic to write. But I see the roster if this latest aowl incarnation and a few of my favorite writers are getting their knuckle wraps in. I’m just as excited to read as I am to write. Maybe more so.

You mentioned Enthusiasm. How vital is Enthusiasm for a successful league?

Very important. it can be the driving force to put ones best foot forward. or at the very lease the incentive. i feel enthisasm contrbibutes to exceptional writings, votings and conversations which is all vital to a successful league. unfortunately enthusiasm is an internal thing so its not something anyone can do to raise enthusiasm. however, a good timely wrap up magazine can help stir the well. because face it, we love reading and seeing ourselves lol. ask richard dawkins

What do you envision as the future of topical leagues on the Internet?

i fear that the quality is gonna be less a culture but more a cult. unless youre in the In gang or popular crew, youre not gonna be heard or read which will likely decultivate the art, imo. people will try to write all the same. thats why cats like @Universe is imporatant to topical because he doesnt give a fuck, he write what he wants. during gwl, he wrote an ongoing saga utilizing what he likes, disturbing subject matter. while alot of people be trying to be like @dead man, people like universe hedge his bet on old school linear story telling.

What's the symbolism of your name: Scar?

ha no symbolism. just like the name.

Have you had any internet text battles that have scarred you for life?

lol nah. i love this stuff but it aint that serious. not when compared to my deliquent bills and untrusty girlfriend that occupied most of my mental fortitude and i hope to gain some catharsis by using them in some of my verses. btw, have u read any of my work?

Season 10 Championship No-Show Shine: Frank

The Wind And The Sun went . . . head to head in a war: they couldn’t settle the score, without the help from their lord.
The two competitively fought, according to the testaments lore. They asked the Universe, for its advice: for its nonjudgmental support.
According to legend, sorcerers and speculative reports: The Sun And The Wind were friendly before their detestment abhorred
The Messenger recalled "The Sun And The Wind's argumentative rapport!" How they spent their energy quarreling, like a magnetic storm
The Sun attempted to ignore the Winds torrential retort! The Wind told the Sun: "Your powers are mediocre in this realm of yore!"
As the Winds got suspenseful and sought to put an end to their vendetta for all of eternity and forever more!
The Wind told the Sun:

"Whoever can get the shawl off of that bow-legged tourist—will be very victorious, for centuries forth."

“Rest assure, whoever can get it off will be regarded as The God of the Spectrum Board!”

The Wind And The Sun agreed to the celestial sport and began to manifest across the horizon like the Pegasus Horse
The Sun let the Wind set it off: The Wind blew until the tree bended and torqued and the leaves fell off and sequestered the fort

howdy doody, i always go for fruit loops first but as far as cereal i am a sucker for just right the ones with berries and rice crisps soo healthy with sugar.. omg and candy i like the colour changing ghost drops and or depending where my taste buds are because i like the sour warheads they would be one but they hot ones to..

What Character do you identify most with? In the Movie "Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory?"

violet the obsession with wide white twirl lollipops had me as a kid man im like it takes a whole day just to lick through that but its so pretty the white and blue/coloured swirls are hypnotizing.. plus the contortion thing

Can you take the people through Cereal's Avatar-Decision-Making Process?

well i started off with avys of my work all pictures of me and stuff ive done in the sense of i took the photo and after i got world wide coverage and a decent network some people were saying incorporating other images/videos from strangers to see if they are more if not a decent percentage of and or better then using your own stuff to network/promo your style better.. like using the name cereal killer from the movie hackers you find a source that doesnt look like it can contain itself and use the inflation so your never taking from the actual source material.. its an image how i can justify getting from australia to ny through the internet - a cabby picks me up.. not like some time travel bullshit but in the way of weight ratio that the sound of vibrations are soundproof while moving even though its traveling legally through there i then get out when i get to my destination..

What should we expect from Cereal_Killa this Season?

i love the character i became lol i became larger then life so i will probably bring my character as an in character just to sharpen the depth and cover what free air relation to advance on my story i might throw up a random haymaker/stranger so that there is mystery on myster of the topic because you never really know when a topic is played..

For those unfamiliar with your RSTL Hay Day on Rapmusic.com, could you walk us through that time period?

i was running around getten a name from the usernames battling then crossed over with a couple of them like shock and stayed with people like nyse @RichardCorey talent vern acular @trap started networking over wins for about a year making a title match about 30 with a 15 loss then the network went to audio and poetry i got known for.. i hooked up with dzk and the canibus crew the rstl came back around there was a new twenty cats that had new style so those original cats took me and five people in.. started winning awards with girls now in the crew and getten published.. then there was a year break where most of us scattered to other boards like rhymeandreason a started making a real name for ourselves.. where my promo from the original board a came from royceboard.com took off so the fact the crew stayed together the network was still at about twenty.. then by the time we all stumbled in for like a forth season i had an believable run where i took out like 4 champs and a flawless record beating some of the big names then we took a year off and i invited my mum who champed it and got to do audio and meet the dzk crew.. by then i got hired like a year latter by two new york cops from it to run an rstl once it shut down.. there was something like 3 new cats that were big from other districts two old cats from the rstl legends friends girls from the original rstl to show it grew.. and promo.. for it being that which ended up keeping people like queen n dzk easier to reach.. then we had four of last seasons mods of the rstl and the two cops that hired me plus extras so we ran that for like a year..

then we finished that season off and ny kept me on long enough to make a book and keep up to date with king soule then make my way to raproyalty and here when i got to big for my boots..

Could you elaborate a bit on what you mean by Best Structure and Best Topic Used?

so best sturcture ho you assemble your verse like syllable count in each line, if you stick to ie 10 count the whole way.. what internal rhymes do you use multi syllables and how well you flip em..

topic wise like a scale ten out of how good the topic was in relation to certain relations.. ie
how many times each thing in the image are mentioned
what stories in reference you can see are multi layered to layer the topic for google searh promo
what you can extend beyon the topic itself so that if it was an image that has evolution ie a style that constantly updates itself as you write that you stay ahead of it but complements it with outside reference to show you feed into with connections that havent been made and are original

i love the business side of things i was going to be made a web page.. but was too busy from this web page but everyone like dre is up to the technology but before you get to moven that you gotta start moven your means to see if theres any interest..

NYCSPITZ, Give me one good reason why you can't champ Season XI?

Money. I been getting paper at a rate beyond the norm. This has made me human as I now work 50-60 hour weeks. I sleep 8 hours a day 8x7=56. 56+[50-60] = 106-116. There are 168 hours in a week so I only have 62-52 hours to maintain / act upon the following:

- write topicals For my netcees peers
- read (currently on Mishima)
- write screenplay i just started and am currently working on (think true detective)
- maybe dance or toastmasters or some shit
- become fluent in Spanish
- reach chess rating of 1800 OTB
- lift natty off cycle maintain 300/400/500 bench DL max
- try to get back to recent 5:30 mile and exceed it to 5:00 at 34 y.o (regional class) & maintain my youthful looks
- buy cocaine and adderall from dealers, go drink and fuck/attempt to fuck prime women 18-25
- play in my Sunday night ice hockey Beer league
- trade stocks during workday (takes energy from my brain so workout is harder)
- daily manifestation meditation (simply elevated emotion plus desired outcome)
- watch episodes of 1899, cabinet of curiosities etc

As you can see, my plate is VERY full and I am reaching peak manifestation abilities

Would I rather manifest a topical victory or a 23 year old dime?

Would I rather manifest a clash of titans world class topical verse against you, dead man, sral etc or read charts on $TSLA and plan my next dip buy and entry/exits on June $200 calls?

Would I rather go to the local chess club and work on my king’s Indian attack or go battle Candy?

Would I rather battle a nobody like Eviction or dance salsa with a mid 20s ethnic 8 from Turkey?

Would I rather bolster my earning power by enhancing my articulation capacities through reading/lecturing at a toastmasters or battle a mid tier guy who never tries like Master Rock?

There are certain time constraints…

That said, all it takes for me to beat 95% of you is a sub 1 hour keystyle so I do think I can champ this handily
