I don't think you are, if you think it's lazy and uninspired. If you've read the interviews of those who have worked with him, he's as obsessive and manic as ever. He's basically a crazy person. He'll call in five other producers just to have them add tiny little touches that we can barely even notice.

You're walking into a Picasso exhibit and wondering if a second-grader painted these things. I get that it's not for you, and honestly it's not supposed to be for everyone. There's nothing wrong with not like his work. But it's weird to me that an aspiring producer just thinks he got outright lazy.

To use your analogy, it's like he used to be the top chef at the best steakhouse in the world and now is doing bizarre fusion tapas that he makes up. Most people would pick the best steakhouse in the world.

Certain you dont get it. Im a hobbyist beatmaker. I have no aspirations and to be clear i dont want any confusion, im simply comparing kanye with himself.

You can be as manic and crazy as you want when cooking a burger. Its still ground beef. You arent comprehending the level of skill it takes to make what he ised to make. What hes making now is ridiculously dumbed down. Its a meticulous process to make a synth sound good. Its not difficult to play a synth melody of the likes he does. So he can be taking his time to make it sound great, whether beefing it up, mixing, choosing other sounds to play with it etc. But the final product still doesnt require as much skill as it does time. He isnt like dre or timbaland or countless others, pharrell etc who makes music with synths and all that, in the sense that the melodies and counter melodies are dope prior to fine tuning.

Its like comparing a metallica solo to an albert king blues guitar freestyle. The metallica one can sound cool. It might take awhile to get the distortion right, but what albert king os playing is technically superior
