no one bit anything. the people who made your shameless sold the rights over so america could "remake" it.

from what i understand its only the same for the first few episodes. which of course you guys would hate

i seen the american office first. then i tried watching the UK office, and i couldnt. not because it "sucked" but because the dialogue was the same, and i already saw the picture painted one way, so no matter what its not gonna live up to the first one you see

i think the shameless american version deviates from the main storyline of the british one, i never watched the british one, but im pretty sure i read that

i'm also pretty sure this topic has been brought up on here before and one of you UK dudes who was blindly hating, basically bit an article and used it to form your opinion lmao

but yea, im sure the british version is good too. but if you say the american version is shitty, you just obviously havent watched it. emmy rossum/fiona is a fucking BEAST. she steals the whole show easy. not just because she is a beautiful goddess but her acting is on point

its a very good show.

@Witty I can see a British dood playing the role really well tbh, I unno y prolly my personal experiences but yeah;however William H Macy is a top class actor n since I never seen other dood he plays the part very well in my eyes.. Authentic like.
