Over 1 billion different people get a cold a year ( lets say 1/6 of the population for maths sake ) on avg 3-4 times a year ( more if your a child ) almost 10 billion colds a years
This is by far the number 1 reason people go to the doctor and miss work and school yet for something a simple as a common cold virus their is no cure, their are otc meds that may calm some symptoms and even home remedies that help ease some pain but. . Nothing a doc can prescribe you nor much you can do but let it run its course... their is no antibotic that that helps ( even though some docs will say try this etc etc ) Is it really that hard for a team of people to put their over educated brains together and find something that will prevent this or is this one of those " colds aren't necessarily life threatening in a healthy individual and its job security for our doctors " type of sickness or is a virus this common and simple that baffling? If people still got colds they'd still need the doctor and some fat cat pharmaceutical company could make trillions ... the cold would still be common it would just make quality of life better if instead of feeling like hell for a week or two maybe you'd feel it for a day or three I'm just so puzzled they push out vaccine after vaccine for Shit and constantly update the strands of flu that prevention shot eliminates ... yet the cold is like a Stevie wonder trying to solve a rubix cube to them And yes I have a cold and since I've been 16 this has been one of those things that have always confused me to an extent |
