making a thread highlighting that you are leaving the site because of the (1) best 'haymaker' troller on the board and (2) one of the more consistent 'chip away at you' trollers on the board actually accomplishes exactly opposite of what you wanted it to do bro.

if you are going to leave the site - might as well not announce it. That way you can choose never to return, or return at your leisure if so inclined. Even if you think you will never be inclined to do so at this moment in time.

As with all emotional manipulation --- ask yourself, who was this status update for?
- for us, for them, or for you?

Might as well not relinquish your control, limit your options, and highlight the success of the individuals you do not wish success upon on your way out.

When the reason you leave is the reason they stay, an announcement of the fact does little to help in multiple ways.
