Let me be clear, to declare your sexuality in order to placate straight people who give you good reason to suggest that they're anti-gay is anti-gay. I'm not here to make straight people feel comfortable by telling them my sexuality. My sexuality has nothing to do with opposition to anti-gayness.

Do you find the only good reason to support BLM and the only good reason to oppose white supremacy is being Black yourself? Because that's a pretty poor analysis. Part of the strength of Black radicalism from BLM and beyond is that it is not a single-issue struggle. Single-issue struggles are doomed to failure because Black gay people exist. Because of white supremacy Black people are more likely to be poor, working-class and homeless, and a disproportionate amount of those people are Black autistic people.

Hope this clears up why this was a weird verse for me, at once appealing to the resistance for Black lives while playing into anti-gay, anti-autistic, anti-poor and, working-class tropes. It's politically contradictory because Black people are all of these things too and often *because* of systemic racism.
