It'd be like using Knu as a nameplay on Knucklehead. OR, Do on Dominate. It just doesn't make logical sense. Snitching can be shortened to Snitch or S at the least, no inbetween that would ever possibly come up naturally.

I don’t agree. Do and Knu end in a short vowel sound makes them awkward as names. Snit doesn’t. I think either of Snit or Snitch is fair for Snitching the same way either of Bar or Barc is fair for Barcotic.
