As a teenager I used to get a bit cranky if I lost a topical battle. Never enough to actually make a big deal about it. Once I grew up I realised everybody likes different shit. If the votes are clearly expressed opinions then I am happy for them, even if they do not go my way.
We learn from criticism. There is no learning when people just tell you how great you are.
