World of Warcraft US celebrate operating for 8 years

World of Warcraft opened its US Server Beta in 2005, and has gone past for 8 years. Here it comes with its eighth anniversary of operating, in order to thanks for its 8 great years and counting, Blizzard has made a media specialist for celebrating.



　　World of Warcraft is a large MMO which developed by the Blizzard Entertainment and first announced in 2001. With several years' development, the game has gained a great success since the beginning of the release. And it also has being the fastest selling PC-game ever in North America.

　　It is a game which can be runs on both Macintosh and Windows platforms, with its 3D graphics and proprietary graphics, the games was praised to be the largest and best RPG in the past 20 years. In order to service more players all over the world, World of Warcraft has opened its beta to some territory such as North America, Europe, China, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, Russia and Canada ect. And players are available to transfer their characters between different servers.

　　In World of Warcraft, the most interesting contents are PvE and PvP. Players can fight against in the combat of PvE or PvP, and there are some servers (labeled PvP) allow player versus player combat to take place almost anywhere in the game world outside of areas for new players. In these environments, members of opposing factions can attack each other at any time. In contrast, player versus environment (PvE) servers allow a player to choose to engage in combat against other players. On both server types, there are special areas of the world where free-for-all combat is permitted.

　　And also World of Warcraft has made good use of battlegrounds. Each battleground has a set objective, such as capturing a flag or defeating an opposing general that must be completed in order to win the battleground.
