Nah that's Multi verse theory he was mentioning where there's an infinite number of outcome and basically any time you had the option to choose something different, supposedly an alternative universe is created and splits in to its own time line.

M theory is basically supposed to be the theory that combines quantum physics/mechanics, string theory etc to Einstein's theory of relativity.

I thought they were one and the same
