there's a reason VB uses JavaScript at signup and a valid email address has to be used

disabling that to allow people to register without it is wide open to this crap

with JavaScript enabled, a cookie is created at signup, and we can find out who is hiding behind the (IP) mask like a coward

it's how we caught Cane cheating etc
