Start off with a secured credit card. They will give them to anyone, just front the $100-$300 for it. Make small purchases and pay on them each month only utilizing about 1/3 of your credit limit.

Do not swipe the card and pay the balance immediately, you need to let it reflect on your report that you have a balance but are making more than the minimum payment.

Credit building is a slow process, but re-building is even slower.
