i would say jay electronica is more in the unique phrasing than strictly rhyme schemes
but honestly of course it plateaued. you can't really go higher than its already been taken. you can just be unique and technical in your own right. but its like musically it plateaued as well, everything that could be done has been done. we can change instruments, genres that are sampled from, drums no drums. but at the end of the day the format is the same. its all been done
