It's like a reserve battle, @Witty. Loser gets nothing. Winner might get into the real bracket but not necessarily.

This seems like a no win situation to me. There is no real advantage to winning as your odds of getting a place in the tourney are the same, but if you lose, you lose the chance. The winner doesn't really get anything.

It will make both people really want to win though, even though there is nothing to be gained because the consequence of losing sucks so much, which I'm sure will make for a great battle.

I'm down.
