actually

- most people were very skeptic
- the fact that the IBM computer could debug pretty much every other computer made, wasn't common knowledge, but, much more than "a few people on earth" knew about it.
- he also made many predictions that time thus far has disproven.

but he used the "multiple quantum worlds" theory as a kind of fall back, so basically one could always argue that he came from a different timeline and things might occur differently here.

his story a very cool mystery of the internet, but, I'm convinced he was one of the original master trolls.
