I use commas to create the cadence of a verse. it doesn't have to be grammatically correct, it indicates where a reader should take a slight pause. if I create a flow that has a rhythm like this

a flow, like this is deceptive,
fa sho, it can be very effective

now when you write the sentence,

A flow like this is deceptive. No comma should ever be used in between flow and like. but we aren't writing formalized sentences, we are creating verse. see the difference.

rather shocking to me that this needs to be explained tbh
