Apparently, South Korea set up a huge loudspeaker on a hillside that could be heard in North Korea, and they would broadcast all sorts of stuff (news, songs, etc) to counter the government's control of media and information in NK. Clearly, NK didn't like it, so they blew it up. A community near the border was evacuated preemptively, SK fired some artillery back, more as a "we're not pussies" response, and that's been about it. At least once a year NK does shit like this, though it's been a while since they actually fired into SK. doesn't affect daily life out here all that much, even though Seoul is pretty close to the border.
