Ribbit (0-1) vs. Mr. J (1-0)

I started reading Ribbit's verse last week. Maybe it's the alcohol, but it seemed a bit eccentric. I'm sure that's accidental. Some of his phrasing is sharp as fuck, actually. If he gave up the schtick and gave a fuck he'd be formidable. Mr. J is a very solid writer who rarely touches rarified air. By volume, he's the greatest topicalist on this version of the site. He sees a mote of dust and finds ten lines for it. I always think his verses are same-ish. It's always the same voice, no matter the subject or approach. I guess that's a lot of writers' problem, on this site. Same for me. But for him it seems pronounced. Still, he's a good, coherent, writer. Ribbit will have an idea or two, punctuated with rhythm, that'll make me smile. Mr. J will write a consist nod.

Mr. J.

UnbornBuddha (0-1) vs. Tyson (1-0)

Tyson isn't great. I never read a Tyson verse and looked for my socks afterwards. They were still there, properly not blown away. Unbornbuddha writes more words per single open mic than I've written since the first day I've been on netcees(.com), including discussion posts. With such volume, he occasionally stumbles on something brilliant. For the most part it's the most verbose point to end point out there. I'd rate him as above average, one 'above' Tyson's perpetual station.

Buddha

Asylum (0-0) vs. Rakontur (0-0)

Who?

Innovator (0-1) vs. Razah (1-0) vs. Witty (1-0)

Innovator can write a nice verse. I'd say one out of every six of his verses are very dope. Witty can be a conceptual genius every now and then, and when he isn't he has the writing chops to float an average concept to the good territory. Apparently Razah is good. Between Inno and Witty I'd take

Witty
