9 people dead, 6 women, 3 men - including a state senator from a centuries old local family and a local track coach.

he wasn't from here, he's from upstate way out in the country.

i am in favor of gun control for convicted criminals. background checks AND psych checks should be mandatory for them. it would have done little in this case, though, as his dad did a fed transfer to him and likely didn't tell them when he bought it.

anyway, he's a nutjob racist shithead.

the positive side of this is my city is coming together to mourn, unite, and overcome this tragedy. no race riots, no division, no hatred. much like with walter scott, the justice is being applied and we are all on the same page.

proud of charleston for that.
