How much do you put up with before throwing hands?

I admire all those saying they don't start fights.

I can not say the same thing myself, if I have a few drinks in me and someone is trying to act like a big guy at my expense, I will punch him. I was always taught never to take chances...cuz I don't know who that guy is or who he's involved with, he may just be a drunk idiot or he could be someone more sinister, so put him down before anything else can happen...makes sense to me, pre-emptive self defense.

Fighting seems to have more negative connotations in the USA than here...it's just something to do when drunk.
