Hmmm yeah actually if you start a conversation about the book OK. I was thinking more like if she was reading and you just sat down next to her to say "hi how are you I'm GOW", which is different, because in the latter situation you're basically saying "stop what you're doing, I want to flirt with you", whereas in the former you're not.
