Are steroids like super bad or something? Are there people who can take them and manage it so it doesn't effect them too badly, or is everyone on steroids pretty much fucking with their own life?

I'm dumb about things like this...is it like a lot of drugs that it's ok in moderation, or just not ok at all?

they can be done with minimal long term side effects, but the general consensus is that they will shorten your lifespan somewhat due to the detrimental effects on your heart and cardiovascular system in general.

of course you may die from any number of other things, so to some, the reward outweighs the risk.

I see, it seems an unnecessary risk to take when the same can be achieved by lifting things more often, or however people get big muscles and shit.
