Basically. I know they said somewhere that they wanted to focus each season on a new element, while still keeping with the same thread of story.

1 = Drug Trade
2 = Docks
3 = Politics
4 = Education System
5 = Newspapers

Season 3 was easily my favorite though. It invoked the most emotion throughout. We were introduced to Marlo. We were introduced to Tommy Carcetti. The Barksdale crew crumbled from within. Etc. It felt the most complex to me. It felt the most complete to me.

But season 4 is a close second.
