Though, I think Silva wouldve easily won the first fight, he fucked up - regardless he lost (weidman)
Second fight he seemed less himself and more figured out by weidman (which only had confidence due to winning the fight [off a fluke, but winning nonetheless]) and it's really hard to argue losing twice, even if the first was a fluke in my eyes, and the second was because your opponent knows you use those kicks a lot and practiced with the best kickers (other than you) to block them to achieve what, he achieved. I'm not into mma but I can break it down tactically. Weidman definitely deserved the second fight, and deserves to be the champ. I still think Silva is better, though. But Weidman had the confidence going in, already being the champ and enabling himself by bringing down a legend. |
