I feel pairing no shows is a bad idea. It seems good on paper however its nearly impossible to give a fair and adequate vote for two pieces with different topics. Simple too many variables. What if, for instance, there was a predetermined line limit for one piece causing the verse it was paired with to have a massive length advantage? I feel you on the no shows, believe me, but my prior experience voting on no-show paired battles leads me to believe it's not the solution. I feel punishments, especially for repeat offenders, is a much better approach.

EDIT: Perhaps punishments that would better the tournament, for example requiring the no shower to vote on 6 battles as opposed to 3 before re-entering the league.

The punishment is cool once for peeps like kuja whi was prob gonna read em anyways but for ppl that get hit wit a shit load of extra votes u might as well pair somone up with no one..
And the same topic doesn't matter @ rm we never had the same topic n it worked for many years like a decade but giving ppl the choice is a lot better then no choice.. This way everyone brings there A game no matter who they r facing..

I kind of like the same topic thing here though.. It really pushes you to be more flexible and creative

yeh me too, i like it a lot better but at the end of the day worse case scenario the matches will still work out with mixed topics.. instead of being slept on or dropen it in another thread..

....But really I kinda like the pairing no show verses in a battle. Hard to vote for with the mix of topics so idk how the voting on that would work. I'll let you smart fellas figure that out.
