no doubt, lets just say performance wise Joe should have no problem catering to the crowd, but he's of the cloth, specially the punchlines, personals, flow, etc. like Ronnie said if he's got time to let shit bubble on paper and in his head, shit's a done deal on the mic, that's not being technical (Canibus style lol) shit's methodical. If you rhymed "Game Over" acapella in front of Game on stage, minus a lot of the studio filler, those are battle bars he coulda spit at Game if they did the battle on stage. Hollow's a monster with those, and you can tell when he interjects some free shit in the front, middle, end, just to fit the situation, not many can do that and still come right back to the written slaughter, SMACK crowd can't appreciate shit like that. Thesaurus, Illmac, Mac Lethal, Kid Twist are some of the only cats I've seen that can master that and transition back to the writtens flawlessly. Know there are others I'm forgetting.

first off who freestyles in the literal sense of the word like improvising ? nobody unless u supernatural krs-one or juice and even then some of what they be saying do not even make sense and be wack imo sometimes


second this is joe budden were talking not canibus canibus was well past his prime most dudes know that joe budden has not even reached his prime yet
in terms of writing he can still improve get better

third like i said joe budden performs in front of crowd all the time and he has spit acapella raps before in front of a crowd before so im not worried about his performance as far as a crowd is concern

foruth and last but not least like i said u give a talented writer like joe budden time to write and research hollow it's gonna get ugly joe budden is going to put something together vicious

i just hope alot of budden lines don't go over the crowd heads because u got alot dumb motherfuckers that can't appreciate dudes who write out stuff that make sense.

From a crowd's point of view, say I say something ill as fuck and you come back and flip the shit on me, you're pretty much outdoing what most folks thought couldn't be outdone. Like for instance MacLethal vs Thesaurus, so many freaking rebuttles shit was ridiculous, one of the best battles I've ever seen. You can't discount freestyling in a battle, improvised shit leads to classics given the circumstances and the content. I've battled in real life before, didn't make a career of it but who hasn't had that shit at a party or in the school hallway lol. If a nigga talks about your kicks or something you talk about his girl standing next to em and so forth. It's always in the heat of the moment shit that the juices get flowing and if you're good at it, once you calm down a bit and make your point, you can get back to your writtens which Hollow does. I haven't seen Joe in this form, he's one of my favs though and I'm eager to see what he can do.

i hear you and this will be intresting because hollow is one of the best at that style of rapping and making sense while doing it but who is to say joe budden will even do that.
