in 6th grade i had a friend over my house, and was showing him how i could throw a knife up in the air and catch it

i had a dope butterfly knife, the same swivel blade one from 'face-off' that john travolta gives to his hot slut daughter and tells to stab and twist on any dood who takes advantage of her

well after repeatedly throwing the knife up in the air and catching it, i got cocky

i threw the knife up extra high, where it then hit the ceiling changing the trajectory and spin of the knife

well needless to say i still attempted to catch the blade

doing so landed the knife blade directly though the palm of my hand

my friend went crazy, i was in shock and was cracking up

i proceeded to go to the bathroom and manually remove the blade from my hand, pulling it out, releasing a plume of blood bc i nicked an artery or something

after i dumped a bottle of alcohol on the wound, put a cotton ball on both sides with some tape and some band-aides and went to go tell my dad i needed to go to the hospital (my friend and I mutually decided this was a need.)

so i tell my dad that i was outside playing basketball and fell down on some glass that went through my hand

he then barely even acknowledges that im gushing blood, and calmly asks 'did u get all the glass out' - to which i replied, yes - he then says to put a band-aide on it and not to worry

so i did exactly that, well my hand kept bleeding profusely for the next week or so, in fact there was one instance when i was playing basketball and they had to call the game bc blood was all over the ball and court, ect....

i never got stitches, and it eventually healed, and i didn't lose any dexterity in my hand

however, i do have a scar on both sides of my hand, albeit small bc it was a butterfly knife so the puncturing end wasn't large; and my friend still gives me sht about playing with knives to this day
