I need to figure out where I was/am and pick it up again, think I got pissed because I forgot to do one of the things and I can only get it once I get to Memoria if I remember correctly, and even there it can be hard to get a hold of. Got a few rare cards already, but still... That shit threw me off a little bit.

That said, I beat the kid at that running mini-game in 99 tries thanks to my addiction on International Track & Field for a short period of time. And I swear to god International Track & Field is the most physically exhausting game ever made for a console.

@YDK: Red Alert was for Playstation as well. C&C: Red Alert was the shit!
9's game was wack. They didn't really explain it; you either had to learn the rules through playing a shitload or find out online. Plus the reason 8's was so good and addictive was the fact you could get cool shit by modding the cards. 9 was the better game though. All three are indisputable classics in my book.

I figured out the card game on FF9 the hard way and enjoyed the fuck out of it. Being a purist when it comes to games and all (through word of mouth, no guides etc.), at least when it comes to the first play through. Kinda doing a guide now to get all the stellazios etc.

I'm ashamed of the fact that I still haven't played through FFVIII. I didn't know you shouldn't train at all in the first two discs because the bosses/monsters level up along with you there, and on disc 3 & 4 they don't or something. When I came to a boss on disc 2 I had spent a shitload of time to level up, do side-missions like destroying that T-Rex etc. and it was un-fucking-beatable. I tried everything against that slimeball down the sewer. After quite at least a dozen 45-60 minute+ battles trying out different things each time with varying results ending in defeat every goddamn time I got pissed and haven't picked it up since. Got to start all over, haha.

Got told by a friend that I shouldn't train at all in the first two discs a little bit too late. Oh well.
