Black history month right around the corna

[Objective]

Black history month. Heard a lot about it, never really cared about, along the lines of other us traditions. But I'm curious... Beside of this black awareness month and history beind taught in their name, what's it really for? I might be well outta line, but isn't having a black history month kinda working against its purpose? I mean, it's kinda like; ''Ya'll are different from the rest of the community and this is why.'' I see it's done in good faith and all that,just a bit sceptic about it all and whether it's relevant anymore? Do you have a asian histoey month as well? I'm probably just being ignorant, enlighten me and save me from my scepticism.
