simple really, you are experiencing the normal discomfort of being unable to be alone with your thoughts, aka, "empty time". Pretty much what I figured. I knew about the dopamine part of it since I had read into withdrawal symptoms the last time I quit.

Depressed seems a bit extreme. I just read dysthmic. Meh, maybe. Being melancholy has it's charms.
