This was my alternate team. I spent too much on Chris Paul to afford Roy Hibbert, but I think he's worth it. These choices are terrible. This makes more sense, off the top of my head:
Point guard Chris Paul: $5 Tony Parker: $4 Russell Westbrook: $3 Stephen Curry: $2 Ty Lawson: $1 Shooting guard James Harden: $5 Dwyane Wade: $4 Kobe Bryant: $3 Monta Ellis: $2 Kevin Martin: $1 Small forward LeBron James: $5 Kevin Durant: $4 Paul George: $3 Carmelo Anthony: $2 Luol Deng: $1 Power forward Kevin Love: $5 LaMarcus Aldridge: $4 Dirk Nowitzki: $3 Blake Griffin: $2 Tim Duncan: $1 Center Dwight Howard: $5 Marc Gasol: $4 Roy Hibbert: $3 Al Horford: $2 Joakim Noah: $1

I missed the part about the primes. But then why only put current players? Even so, Kevin Durant clearly has had a better prime and career than Carmelo Anthony.
Love has averaged 23.7 points, 13.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists a game for the team with the sixth-best point differential in the NBA. He's the best power forward in the game. LaMarcus Aldridge is the only other one with a case.
