best era of wrestling was possibly and easily the Attitude Era tbh, the Hogan era bores me moreso from the production. Jim Ross is the GOAT of commentators and the Attitude era had it all. Entertainment, wrestling, etc.

in the attitude era, Rock and Austin werent the only powerhouses. i remember when Rikishi ran over Austin and everyone went around playing a game of Clue basically to figure out who it was

Punk is no doubt best right now for in-ring and personality.

In-ring though, the dudes from the Shield on the come up.

Far as the kids stuff, Vince -always- wanted a family friendly program.. even in the attitude era, he pretty much did what he had to just to compete. Especially with ECW doin what they were doin.. plus the 'Monday Night War'.. WWF became the best of both worlds.. the high production values and talent roster of the big name Monday night companies with the "hardcore" themes as far as the blood, the hardcore rules, sexual content, etc of ECW..

Now that he basically got the Wrestling game on lock he's back to his roots, so to speak.

It's whatever, I like both styles.. IMO the brawling got repetitive quick. I'd rather see good ol' fashion wrasslin', considering both wrestlers are good. Cena and his 5 moves of death is zzzzzz.

Plus all the head trauma and the whole Benoit thing.. that lead to chair headshot being banned... we'll never see those days again. But I wouldn't mind more adult themes in the "story".
