Still the newest most relevant house hold disc system ... Streaming and buying HD stuff without a disk is the new bluray though lol

And bluray didn't get an official release in America till like 2006-2007 ish , HD DVD might of came a little before it but the storage compacity on a bluray is unmatchable unless you have a dual layer an up disc and burner
