if I don't make it as a performing artist, I also produce, compose, engineer, an do management...just now getting into concert promotion...I'll finish school with a double major in music tech an music business an a masters in audio engineering...plus, with the masters I can teach at a college...I may even go for my doctorates...but tbh music is my fallback plan as much as it is my main plan...I feel that if u make a fallback plan for another career field then u are accepting the route of not being successful an u have increased the chances of that becoming reality...
u will never try quite so hard to balance on a ledge as u will if there's no safety net underneath... edit: fun fact, while the % of people who make it in the music industry is less than 10%, the % of people who are successful if they stick with it for a solid ten years is over 80%... |
