They were white knights to start and are overly nice to women in a pathetic attempt to gain their approval and ultimately get laid. It fails. They then go from being 'nice guys' into becoming bitter misogynists, the polar opposite of a white knight. The same happens to women who get burned by alphas and end up hating men/becoming lesbian, etc. It's a vicious cycle, my boy.
