Anyways, fight was looking really boring, especially in second round when Cain would just clinch the whole time to avoid getting caught with a big punch.

Extremely safe fighting and clinching instead of continuing to go for the finish. HW GSP. Blah. Would of preferred JDS to win since he's more entertaining to watch and finishes more.

Hopefully Hendrix KO GSP so we can at least get an entertaining champion at WW.

Didn't see the fight but keep in mind, Cain FINISHED the fight. GSP is a fish stick.

Sanchez Melendez was a dope fight, idk if it deserves all the hyperbole of being the best fight ever (which rogan, dana, and goldberg all repeated several times). fight of the year candidate for sure though.

You ethered yourself right there. If you had watched the fight instead of just looking at the result you'd know that JDS KO'd himself going for a guillotine choke and then ref randomly stops the fight while he's just sitting there. Cain didn't stop shit.

Yeah, I agree. Probably being overblown quite a bit, but still a fun fight nonetheless just on virtue of both fighters dropping each other at different points in the fight and Sanchez almost coming back and finishing the #2 LW in Gilbert Melendez when he's not even in the top 10 himself.

second, he didn't spike himself so much as get spiked by Cain's swivel/escape. he was turtled but i don't think he was out/eating big shots, when you cross it with what happened in rd 3 -- it's a bizarre end to the fight but your perception generally is like. huh?

JDS was dumped awkwardly onto his head with force after getting his bell rung 6 or 7 times in the past ten minutes. that was enough for him and it was obvious.

From the GIF I saw of the finish, Cain knew how to defend against a standing d'arce choke and dumped JDS on his head. That was a brilliant technique tbh.
