I WAS THINKING WTF?
no he shouldnt. what if the ref don't see the tap? i let it go before shredding his knee and he gets up and kicks my ass? if i'm a fighter i'm holding locks until the ref is pulling me off, and im punching downed opponents until the ref pulls me off
i thought that was how it worked?
didnt lesnar tap to mir in one of them fights and the refs missed it?
i feel like its happened alot

This isn't a bad argument HOWEVER, taking into account the type of hold this was and the fact that he torqued it one last time after the ref tried to break it up was a scary thing to watch.
You rip someone's knee like that that's career threatening. And there have been plenty of times when a fighter knows the other fighter is either out or tapped and alerted the ref like, "Hey, he tapped!! He tapped!" or "He's out!!" You don't have to let the hold go, but you mos def don't have to tighten it.
Again, this is something Palhares has been known to do, like multiple times.
